The Watcher

UpInSmoke POETRY

i behold her body
to search the everlasting
why even God himself came down on a virgin
why men and great men of valour go to war
why the seas rage above
and yet remain calm below
why old wise men spy on Diana taking a morning bath
why King David even lost his devotion
the greatest temptation was not 40days of fasting
nor the 39 lashes nor the nails on a wooden cross
null and void of a womans touch
and i watch…
he seduces you by his monetary skill
so that he can please himself at will
and never counts evey stroke as time reveal
only pleasure in pain true hearts dont appeal

When I Look At Afrika (part 2)

WHEN I LOOK AT AFRICA

l see the confusion of a lost herd
Land so old yet unkempt like an old man’s beard
Morally corrupt ,having lost the old traditional ways we had
Hark how the babies moan – It’s not crying we’ve heard..Dirty little minds our loins bared

When I Look at Africa
l see her tears of condemn
To whom it’s pointed at no one dares ask
She, filled with self hatred and blame
Carrying the world’s refuse like a dumping site at dusk

When l Look at Africa….

l stare. …and stare hard and long
Eyes wide open to the prejudice being preached  to the youths
When the naked truth,l know .. We’ve all betrayed our roots .. sold them to the unknown

When l Look at Africa…

l feel sorry for my descendants … Born without a name
My totems buried for a pretty mansion
Working so hard to earn a foreign pension
When my own fathers taught me who was l .. With plenty passion

When I look at Africa….

l see you …..
l see me …..
l see her….
Falling off the cliffs
Dripping blood….
How painful it is to watch her bleed in her innocence…..
